Presentation Skill [Where Are They Now Project]

ABOUT WHERE ARE THEY NOW PROJECT
Where Are They Now project was a communication project run by Professional Communication last-semester-students who were in Interdisciplinary Communication Project course. The purpose of the project was to connect past and present RMIT students by sharing success stories of the past students to inspire the current students to study and live actively. The stories were shared on the intranet page www.online.rmit.edu.vn/alumni through written profiles or video profiles of RMIT alumni who had exceptional achievements.

ABOUT ORGANIZER TEAMS
The project members were divided into four teams based on their interest and strengths; the teams are Content Team, External Relations Team, Finance Team and Execution Team. Every team had a communicator who was responsible for connecting all four teams and communicating the team progress to synchronize all of the project works.

MY ROLE
I was the Content Team communicator. My first task was to represent the team and present our team's idea of modifying the current alumni page to the stakeholders of the project, particularly the Alumni Associations, Marketing Department and Communication Department.

Please see my presentation slide here.

SKILLS IMPROVED

  • Presentation skill was important to communicate all of the ideas about the new look of the alumni web page to the stakeholders and to persuade them to approve the plan.
ACHIEVEMENT
  • The alumni page content was approved.
  • The alumni page could not be modified as the plan; however, an alumni intranet page was developed as a back up plan and it was successfully created.
