We've Got Talent 1 - Music Club 2009

ABOUT MUSIC CLUB
When I was in my third semester at RMIT Vietnam University, Ms. Nguyen Khanh Linh, who was my classmate at that time, invited me to establish Music Club. Our intension was to unite a community of RMIT Vietnam's music lovers who enjoy singing, playing instruments and more importantly performing their musical talents.

The the time I spent in Music Club helped me develop my skills, including human resource management, leadership, organization, and project management.

In 2009, as an Human Resource (HR) Manager, I was responsible for allocating people to two main departments - Marketing and Program - based on the departments' needs and the strengths of each member.

I had to ensure that members are high performers and to deal with performances issues. When conflicts occurred between the members, I worked on solving the issues and ensured that the members were motivated and back on track.

I held numbers of activities to motivate the members such as:

  • Recognizing member's contribution by issuing certificates.
Contribution and performance criteria were clearly announced at the beginning of the semester. By the end of the semester, members were awarded with a certificate that stated their level of contribution (Diamond, Gold and Bronze). The certificates were signed and stamped by Sport and Recreation Department of RMIT Vietnam University to acknowledge Music Club's members' contribution.

  • Team building activities to develop team performance and cooperation.

  • Small parties for all members to hang out and strengthen friendship.
